HPVDT in the Community

Earlier this school year, the team attended a couple of events, where we got a chance to meet many people from the community and show off our work.

On November 22 – 23, 2014, our team attended the Toronto Mini Maker Faire at the Toronto Reference Library. We were amongst many of the local creators, hackers, crafters, tinkerers, and curious minds of all ages.

On November 25, 2014 Calvin and I exhibited our team’s accomplishments at the annual Pollution Probe Gala at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel. We had a chance to meet and talk to many influential people who care about environmental responsibility. We were honored to be amongst a group of students who were selected by the organizers to fit the theme of this year’s gala, “Future Builders”. The highlight of the evening was when we were requested during dinner to make a personal presentation for Kathleen Wynne, the Premier of Ontario.
